With the economy the way it is today, more and more people are flocking to the Internet looking to make some extra income. Many people are just looking for an additional job on line. They want to find a way to trade hours for dollars. These jobs may exist on line, but are very hard to find. There are also a lof of scam sites that promise you the ability to make a lot of money quickly on line. I caution you to be very wary of this type of site. I always recommend to people that they build some type of “Internet real estate”, where they will have some tangible asset after all of their work. I continue to recommend building your own blog as the best way to stake your claim to your own piece of this real estate.
The question that always seems to come up is, “What can I do right away to start making money now?” This is a tough question, because making money now requires some things that most people do not have… a list of people that trust your judgment and will buy based on your recommendations. If you do not have this in place, you probably will not make much (any) money today. This is just the reality of how things work on line.
If you can get past what seems like an immediate need to make money today, you can start making money from blogging relatively quickly. You need to get a nice looking site up and running and start to put up some great posts. These posts need to teach and help people that are in need of your information. Once you start to develop a readership base, you can start to recommend products and services. You can do this by adding banners to your blog or writing reviews of products as occasional blog posts.
You can also start to build a list by putting a lead capture box on your blog. You need to provide something of value in exchange for people’s infomation. This can be a newsletter, and ebook or a video series… your choice. Once you are able to build a list of people interested in what you have to talk about, you will be well on your way to making some good money on line.

If you follow a well thought out plan and do not quit, you can make your blog a solid source of income that will serve you well over the upcoming months and years to come.
