Make Money With BlogsIf you want to make money with blogs, you are going to have to become a great generator of content.  You do not need to let this scare you, as you are definitely capable to doing this if you really want to.  You will make money blogging when you have sufficient traffic coming to your site and some of these people buy the products and services you recommend.  It is a pretty straight forward process.  The issue for most people is that it takes some good old fashioned hard work to get to this point.  I will cover some insider tips on how to get your blog in a position to become profitable.  I have been a successful blogger for several years, so I have been down the path you are going now and can help you.  Here are the insider tips:

1.  You need “money keywords” –  You need to select some keywords in your niche that are “money keywords”.  These keywords lead people to making purchases of products and services.  The more specific a keyword is, the better.  A great example of a money keyword is a product model number.  If a person is searching for a specific model for a home theater speaker system, they are most likely looking to buy.  You want to spend as much times as necessary to find some keywords that your can “rank for”.  These will be “money keywords” that don’t have too much competition.  If you do not know how to do this, spend some time reading up on it and stick with it until you have yourself some great keywords.

2.  You need many 500+ word keyword rich posts on your blog —  Once you get your keywords, you want to start to put up some great “meaty” posts on your blog that contain these keywords.  I highly recommend 500 words and higher for every post on your blog.  It does not take that much effort to make this happen and it really makes your blog look good to your readers and the search engines.  Your blog posts are the backbone of your blog, so make sure you get them right.

3.  You need at least 5 back links for each of your posts —  You need to get back links to all of your post pages.  It is one of the key criteria that Google rates sites on.  Until your blog becomes popular enough to get its own back links naturally, you are going to have to help speed up the process.  You will want to submit high quality articles to article directories that have one or two back links that point back to your blog.  This activity is essential when your blog is new or is not getting enough traffic.  If you do not do this task, your blog most likely will not ever become profitable.  Consider yourself warned on this issue.  You have to make some back links happen for your posts… period.

4.  You need to sell products you can vouch for —  You want to sell products and services that you can personally vouch for.  This means you will have needed to use the product and have some success from it.  This is not a bad thing, as you should not sell “stuff” you know nothing about anyway.  You want to let your readers know through your blog posts why your recommend the product and what it has done to help you solve a problem in your business or your life.

5.  You need to let your readers know the benefits of the products your are selling –  When you are reviewing these recommended products, you want to highlight the benefits of the product to your readers.  You want to make sure your readers clearly understand how they will benefit if they buy the products.  This “pre-selling” in your blog posts will make a huge difference in how many sales you make from your recommendations.  You will not make many (any) sales by simply putting a banner for the product in your sidebar.  You need to tell your readers why they need the product and how it can specifically help them.

I am sure you are starting to see that making money blogging is a process that must be followed.  There really is no good fortune or luck involved in it.  There is just simply proper marketing techniques and a focus on helping your readers solve their problems.  If you are willing to follow this time tested process, you will eventually start to make money from your blogging.
