How To Make Money From Blogging: Really Help Your Readers
If you want to make a lot of money from your blogging, you are going to have to get very good at helping your readers with their problems. People are not just going to randomly throw their hard earned money your way because you have a blog up and running. This is a harsh reality that many people learn the hard way. If you want to do well with your blog, you are going to have to find a way to “really help your readers”. I can not emphasize that enough. Once you understand how to do this effectively, you will start to see some good income from your blog. I will share with you a few key “nuggets” that I have picked up over my years of successfully blogging on line:
1. Share your best stuff – There is no good reason to hold back on your best information and tips. Even if you sell a product that is your best information, you will not hurt yourself at all by sharing most of your “good stuff”. People will buy your products or your recommended services because they trust your judgment and know you have their best interest in mind. The best way to make people trust you and your motives is to give away a lot of great information on your blog. If you are holding back, waiting for a better day to share your “best stuff”, that day is today.
2. Take questions from your readership — People do not like to be lectured to. They like to have conversations with other people. You can send a lot of information to people on your blog, that is fine. I highly recommend that you have an easy way for your readers to ask you specific questions about their needs or problems. When you start to engage your readers in a dialog, you are on your way to having a strong “fan base”. When you have fans, you have people that trust what you say. This will help you develop a lot of great contacts, and income will come after that.
3. Share success case studies — If you have helped a person overcome a difficulty, let your readers know about it. You do not need to include specific names and facts. If the person has given you a testimonial and you have their permission to use it, then by all means use it. Let your readers know that you are a real person that helps other people. This fact alone wills set you above the crowd in your niche. When you are actually in the business of helping people, you will become very attractive to your readers. This will help you grow your business faster than any other means I know, because happy readers will share your blog with other people. This viral growth will help your blog in many ways that include increased traffic and better search engine results for your keywords.
4. Communicate one on one with your readers — If you can find a way to get this going in your niche, it will be a huge plus for you and your business. People like to read about other people’s problems being solved. That is fine. People really get excited about being able to solve their own problems. When you get one on one communication going with just a few of your “avid readers”, you will start to see a dramatic increase in your effectiveness. This will happen because you will be sure you are helping people and doing things that your readers want you to do. This is super powerful and exciting when it happens.
5. Refer people to others you know that can help them — If you can’t help a person with their problem. but know a friend that might… facilitate those people connecting. It will help you to help more people, and the positive press you will get from this is amazing. Once you become a “go to” person for assistance and problem solving in your niche, you will start to see an income in the near future.
6. Put money making well behind helping people in your priorities — This may seem backwards to you. If you are in great financial need, this may seem like silly advice. I have helped many people grow their businesses…even from shoestring budgets… when they focus on helping others. Once you get your blog rolling in that direction, you will start to attract the kind of people that will help you get out of your financial hard times. You simply can not start a blog with only money making in mind. It will most likely not succeed very well. There are just too many other people out on the Internet already doing that. You have to find a way to “stand out in the crowd”. The best way I know of to do this is to help people solve their problems.
I trust you can see a little more clearly the value of helping people solve their problems on your blog. Once you get your blog moving in this correct direction you will have no problem at all making money from your blogging
