If you want to have your own making money blog, you certainly can do this. The key to your success comes down to making sure you know what your are doing and then doing the required work for success. Many of my students spend time doing unnecessary tasks and fail to spend adequate time on the tasks critical to their success. I will cover five of the key areas that you need to focus on so that you can indeed have your own money making blog. Here are the areas to focus on:
1. Master the 600+ word foundation post – If you are planning on making money from your blog, you need to have great content on there that will keep your readers coming back for more. The best way to do this is to start your blog out strong with a series of 600 to 750 word “foundation posts” where you set the stage for your blog’s development. You will let your readers know they can expect quality content from you and it will allow you to build out a strong blog by referring and linking to these foundation posts often.
2. Learn what real problems exist in your niche — You will sell products when you identify problems in your niche and provide real solutions. You need to help your readers solve their problem, and you need to do it for free most of the time. Once you help your readers solve some of their problems in your chosen niche, you can much more effectively offer products and services that will help your readers even further. You will not sell products that provide general nature in any niche. They need to provide real benefits and solve real world problems in your niche.
3. Provide solutions to key problems in your posts — Your posts need to focus on the problems at hand, and then provide actionable solutions to your readers. You need to tell the readers exactly what to do to solve their problems. The more you can reflect on your own experiences, the better. People love to read stories and they want to see that you “know your stuff”. There is no better way to build credibility in your niche that sharing your personal success in your niche.
4. Learn to effective get back links to your posts — You will want your posts to be found by the search engines. This does not happen by magic. You need to accumulate some good back links to your posts, so the search engines will start to rank your posts for your keywords. This is going to take some effort on your part, but is well worth the effort. You need to learn how to back link right away, and then put this new found learning into action.
5. Recommend quality products you have used to your readers — If you are going to make money from your blogging, you must recommend only great products to your readers. You want to make sure you have used the products and they have given you great results. You will kill your credibility with your readers if you recommend “junk” products. The only real way to know you are not selling junk is to recommend product you have used yourself.
